Practising Open Education OER Project report published online

The JISC and HEA funded project Practising Open Education: Developing the Potential of Open Educational Resources in art, Design and Media has now been completed. The project Final Report is now available as a downloadable PDF from the project website: http://tinyurl.com/6dbfetx

HEA Academic Associates


The Higher Education Academy (HEA) is building a community of Academic Associates to deliver and develop support for learning and teaching in higher education.

Expressions of interest are sought from academics with current experience, who are leaders in their field, can work as part of a team, and who share the HEA’s ambition to improve learning and teaching and the student learning experience. There is no specific closing date for expressions of interest as this is an ongoing process.

SCORE Short-term Fellowship Call - Open Educational Resources Development Opportunity

The closing date for applications: 28 October 2011

Applications for short-term fellowships in open educational resources (OER) are invited by the Support Centre for Open Resources in Education (SCORE).  Short-term fellowships are designed to provide foundational knowledge in the production and use of OER to those with little or no prior experience.  Priority will be given to applicants from Law, Business, Social Science and Education subject areas although all applications will be considered.

Research Fellowship Program for 2012–13

Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library in Wilmington, Delaware, USA, announces its Research Fellowship Program for 2012–13, consisting of short- and long-term fellowships open to academic, independent, and museum scholars, to support advanced study of American art, culture, and history. Online staff development courses

The Oxford Centre for Staff and Learning Development (OCSLD) is one of the UK’s largest providers of staff and educational development for further and higher education. They currently run up to 200 staff development courses each year, drawing on a national network of specialist consultants.

The 2011 HE Staff/Student Summit: ‘Lessons from the Student-Led Teaching Awards’
