ADM-HEA ANNOUNCEMENTS

Student Competition 2011 – reminder competition closes on 8 April

In the frame: reflections on art, design and media higher education
What is higher education in art, design and media subjects like in 2011?  What are its defining characteristics, experiences, environments, practices and moments?

ADM-HEA invites students on UK-based art, design or media higher education courses to enter this year’s competition. This year we are asking students to submit an image (visual / audio / film / etc) accompanied by a short statement that reflects their perceptions and experiences of higher education.

ADM-HEA EVENTS

Shaping Things to Come: ADM-HEA Annual Forum 2011

RIBA, 66 Portland Place, London W1B 1AD

17 May 2011

What does and what should the future hold for art, design and media higher education teaching and learning? How can those teaching and supporting learning in art, design and media higher education contribute to this future?

  • What pedagogic practices do we need to preserve?
  • What practices should we nurture and develop?

  • What can we afford to ditch?

We are very pleased to announce that Emma Hunt and Professor Maureen Wayman OBE will be our Keynote speakers. Also, we are pleased to welcome 12 colleagues (confirmed so far) from the Art, Design and Media Subject Network as presenters. They will anticipate future scenarios and lead discussions exploring pedagogic practices that they believe will stand us in good stead.
