in this bulletin:
CALL FOR PAPERS / PARTICIPATION
Student Competition 2011 – reminder competition closes on 8 April, only a few days to go!
In the frame: reflections on art, design and media higher education
What is higher education in art, design and media subjects like in 2011? What are its defining characteristics, experiences, environments, practices and moments?
ADM-HEA invites students on UK-based art, design or media higher education courses to enter this year’s competition. This year we are asking students to submit an image (visual / audio / film / etc) accompanied by a short statement that reflects their perceptions and experiences of higher education.
Call for Contributions to Networks issue 14
Deadline for submissions: 1 June 2011
Networks issue 14, to be published online in July, will reflect the theme of our Annual Forum, Shaping Things to Come, and explore the following:
What does and what should the future hold for art, design and media higher education teaching and learning? How can those teaching and supporting learning in art, design and media higher education contribute to this future?
- What pedagogic practices do we need to preserve?
- What practices should we nurture and develop?
- What can we afford to ditch?
We welcome proposals for features articles, for this and subsequent issues. A fee of £300 is payable to authors of those features accepted for publication.
