Postgraduate Experience Surveys
Top line results from this year’s Higher Education Academy (HEA) postgraduate experience surveys show the highest overall experience ratings since the surveys began.
86% of students who took part in the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) said that the overall experience of their programme met or exceeded their expectations. This compares to 84% in 2009, 83% in 2008 and 81% in 2007, (the survey did not run in 2010.)
88% of students who took part in the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) said that the overall experience of their programme had met or exceeded their expectations. This compares to 85% in 2010, and 84% in 2009.
A record number of higher education institutions and postgraduate students took part in the surveys:
PRES: 102 HEIs; 31,202 students
PTES: 80 HEIs, 38,756 students
