Fashion Footprints: Sustainable Approaches
Touring exhibition opportunity for colleges and universities with fashion and textile courses.
CCANW (Centre for Contemporary Art and the Natural World) has produced the exhibition 'Fashion Footprints: Sustainable Approaches' which will premiere on Sunday 1 August 2010 at its gallery space in Haldon Forest Park and will be available to tour from end of 2010. Curated by recent MA graduates from the Centre for Sustainable Fashion at the London College of Fashion, the exhibition is based on Dr. Kate Fletcher's seminal book 'Sustainable Fashion and Textiles; Design Journeys' and is broken down into 8 themes: materials, production, use, end of life, consumption, localism, speed and connection to producers.
'The exhibition will appeal to designers, students, educators, industry and the general public alike. It reveals a fascinating and forward thinking account of how we can all play a role in a more resourceful future.'
Emma Rigby, Co-curator
