Call for offers to facilitate and/or host workshops in Scotland
The HEA is running two capacity building workshops in Scotland as part of its Embedding equality and diversity in the curriculum programme. They have just launched a call for expression of interest in facilitating and/or hosting a workshop in June 2011. Host institutions must be located in Scotland, but they will welcome expressions of interest for the role of facilitator from across the UK.
The deadline for responding to the call: 15 April 2011
The workshops will provide a practical means of building internal capacity to engage all teaching staff in the use of inclusive learning and teaching practices to improve the quality of the student experience.
The themes of the workshops will be:
- Enabling Staff Engagement in the Inclusive Curriculum
- Using Evidence Based Approaches to Embed Inclusive Practice in the Curriculum.
Institutional hosts will receive a £500 grant to cover costs. Facilitators will also receive a grant of £500 to cover expenses related to planning and delivering the events.
Further details about this call and the workshops are available on the HEA website www.heacademy.ac.uk/resources/detail/ourwork/inclusion/embedding_eandd_cbworkshops .
