Best practice in creating accessible PDF documents
The JISC TechDis service is currently researching for a publication on how to produce accessible PDF documents. One of the areas where they still need to get professional input is in the workflow from
1) quark to PDF and
2) Indesign to PDF.
They are interested in finding out more about the accessibility features in quark and Indesign that allow a PDF produced from this software to have a good semantic structure, a sensible reading order and appropriate descriptions for text. If you are interested in getting involved in this work for which some payment would be possible, please contact Alistair McNaught at the following e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
