Accessible IT Practice Support Programme
News of a recent exciting development from JISC Techdis.
You may already know of, or already use, many of the highly respected resources/techniques promoted by JISC Techdis itself or indirectly through partner organisations. But you may not know that JISC Techdis has over the last few months been bringing its resources together in order to now be able to offer institutions a support programme. This programme is designed to:
- help organisations deliver against the back drop of having to do morefor less,
- help staff recognise how certain cohorts of learners benefit from the use of technology,
- increase the skills of front line staff in using technology effectively for inclusive teaching and learning.
The Accessible IT Practice Support Programme (www.jisctechdis.ac.uk/itq) will be an easy way to discover the resources of the Service and provides an ideal opportunity for anyone looking to improve their ability to meet the needs of all learners and other users in today's technology driven world.
The programme, which can also lead to City & Guilds ITQ accreditation, provides an ideal platform for raising awareness of inclusion issues at the same time as developing the skills to create more inclusive teaching and learning environments.
