Transforming Teaching in Higher Education
- University of Wales, Newport
- 14 January 2011 09:00-18:00
Event organised by the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) at University of Wales, Newport
The CELT was established in 2008 to enhance, dis-seminate and celebrate the excellent learning and teaching practices of our academic and learning sup-port staff. The CELT’s primary aim is to foster peda-gogic research in line with the university's institutional vision to become a source of excellence in learning and teach-ing.
The event will take place in the Boardroom on the Caerleon Campus and will be split into an afternoon of academic presentations and an Awards Ceremony in the early evening. The CELT Awards are prestigious awards presented by the Vice-Chancellor in recognition of individual teaching excellence, to be followed by a champagne reception. Some of the award winners will then be nominated externally for University of Wales Teaching Fellow-ships.
