The Teacher Practitioner - Preparation for Discovery
- Bath Spa University, Newton St Loe, Bath BA2 9BN
- 19 February 2008 12:00-16:00
Artswork has a limited number of places available if you would like to participate in a staff development event.
The event is for teacher-practitioners who are both in professional practice and teaching a creative industries subject, and aims to explore how the teacher-practitioner can draw on their experience and knowledge to benefit their own and students’ entrepreneurial learning opportunities. Facilitators are David Clews ADM HEA, Jane Gawthorpe English Subject Centre, Sara St. George and Zuleika Beaven The Arts Institute Bournemouth, Andy Penaluna Swansea Metropolitan University, and Antonia Walker Artswork.
Artswork is Bath Spa University’s Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning in the creative industries. Our experience over the last two years suggests that the entrepreneurial teacher works with the tensions between teaching and practice, academia and industry, subject pedagogy and innovation, and that this ability is central to the development of teaching and learning in the creative industries. We would like to engage with others who may be working with similar interests, to explore experiences across disciplines and across institution contexts.
If you would like to attend or to discuss any aspect of the event please email email@example.com.
We will then contact you with further information and a detailed programme. There will be no charge for this event. Please respond as soon as possible as places are limited.
