Successfully Building and Managing Digital Media Collection
- 8-10 Berkeley Square, Bristol BS1 1HH
- 15 September 2009 00:00
This September JISC Digital Media are hosting two free seminars focussing on key topics for individuals involved with digital media. The seminars are funded by the Joint Information System Committee under the 'JISC ITT Workshops & Seminars: Achievements & Challenges in Digitisation & e-Content' strand.
The first of these is: Successfully Building and Managing Digital Media Collection on 15th September. The second is "The Digital Media Collection +100 Years" on 16th September.
In order for a digitisation project to provide useful, effective, content many interlinking aspects need to be considered. This seminar, which draws on the knowledge of experts in the field, considers some of the vital facets which lie quite apart from the actual act of digitising. Topics range from case studies of large, successful projects, recording accurate and relevant metadata, rights issues and balancing the demands of users and stake holders.
Both seminars will be held in Bristol at the following address: ILRT, University of Bristol, 8-10 Berkeley Square BS8 1HH
Presenters, facilitators and details of speakers' topics will be announced shortly. The seminars are free to attend. If you would like to participate in one or both of these events please email <mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org> with the number of attendees, their names and date/s of interest.
