Responding to Leitch: implications for adult learners and community regeneration

This seminar will focus on responses to the Leitch Report: how it will affect learners and communities within Wales and in the UK in general.

Keynote speakers

Rob Humphreys, Director for Wales, Open University in Wales,

Sue Graham, Work-related Learning Manager, Northumbria University.

The event is hosted by Professor Danny Saunders and his team, University of Glamorgan.

Workshops will be relevant for all those interested in formal and informal learning in the community, the workplace, as well as those working with younger and older people.


Workshops will focus on three areas: ‘Glamorgan GATES’ a partnership between the University of Glamorgan and the Communities First Unit of the Welsh Assembly Government; Intergenerational practice in the workplace and community; and the Higher Levels Skills Pathfinder Project which promotes flexible pathways for adult learners to deliver benefits to both business and communities.
