Open Educational Resources (OER): Rights and Licensing Issues for Practitioners

Location:
Online
Date(s):
23 June 2011 13:00-14:00

Lunchtime Webinar

First in a series of CPD4HE webinars sharing experiences of developing teaching materials for release as Open Educational Resources (OERs) in the CPD4HE Project.

Do you want to "publish" your teaching materials as Open Educational Resources?
Do you advise teaching staff on rights and licensing?

This meeting considers OER development from a rights adviser’s perspective, including:

  • Identifying IPR and other legal issues associated with the materials to be released
  • Clearing permissions with third parties
  • Licensing options and deciding how “open” your licensing will be
  • Sources of help and support

Led by:
June Hedges (UCL, Head of UCL Library Services’ Teaching & Learning Support Section);
Jane Secker (LSE, DELILA Project Director)
Jane Hughes (UCL, CPD4HE Project Director)

The webinar is open to anyone who is interested in the topic.
