Learning Development: Who Needs It?

The Keynote Address will be given by Professor Ray Land, co-author of ‘Threshold Concepts and Troublesome Knowledge’ (Meyer and Land, 2005).
Ray is Professor of Higher Education and Director of the Centre for Academic Practice and Learning Enhancement at the University of Strathclyde and his research interests include the theory and practice of educational development, threshold concepts and troublesome knowledge, and theoretical aspects of digital learning.
This year they are offering a range of practitioner-focussed papers and workshops, posters and ‘show-and-tell’ sessions relevant to the field of Learning Development. There will be a social event and an evening meal on Monday 18th.
The AGM and election of officers for the Association for Learning Development in Higher Education (ALDinHE) will also be held during the Symposium.
CALL FOR PAPERS EXTENDED
