Enhancing Curricula: using research and enquiry to inform student learning in the disciplines
- Lycée Francais, New York
- 3 April 2008 00:00 - 4 April 2008 00:00
The 2008 Enhancing Curricula Conference will focus on the enhancement and redefinition of traditional disciplines in art and design as a result of the outcomes of research and enquiry – looking at issues that are particular to “us”. The 4th cltad international conference will explore factors and contexts which are bringing and are likely to bring about significant change in art and design education. We invite research papers, conceptual papers, and work in progress/showcases to show how research and other forms of enquiry can inform teaching and student learning in art design and media. This year we are introducing a new category of submission: symposia.
The conference is intended to encourage discussion, question practices, stimulate debate and consider challenges for the future.
The conference will address the disciplinary contexts of:
Architecture and Interior Design
Fashion and Textile Design
Furniture and Product Design
Interdisciplinary and Multi-disciplinary approaches
Keynote speakers, programme, costs and details regarding accommodation will be posted in due course.
Conference cost: £350, not including accommodation or travel.
