Closing the Feedback Loop in WebPA - Peer Review of individual students in group projects
- Loughborough University
- 9 June 2010 00:00
This seminar provides a background to the WebPA system (www.webpa.ac.uk), an open source online peer assessment tool for students that enables every team member to recognise individual contributions to group work. Using research and open source community resources the functionality and deployment of WebPA is explored and features of the basic and more advanced WebPA systems demonstrated. Expanding on the tool and its use in feedback - pilot findings will be shared in the seminar as a foundation to the key discussion. The overall aim is to link feedback to resources that could aid individual student skill development (feed-forward).
The seminar is intended for educators who are interested in understanding how the feedback loop can be closed effectively for group work. In addition educators, learning and technology specialists with an interest in the use of the WebPA tool may also wish to attend.
This event is offered without charge, however it is necessary to book a place online as places are limited. Loughborough University reserves the right to charge individuals a £50 fee for non attendance.
