BFI Town Hall Meeting

BFI Southbank, London SE1 8XT
23 May 2011 11:00-16:00

The BFI’s Town Hall meeting to discuss the BFI’s evolving relationship with Higher Education in relation to research has now been rescheduled for 23 May 2011.

The primary objective for the day is to provide an overview to the academic community of the BFI's cultural planning over the next ten years. The BFI has begun to identify a programme of work which it wishes to undertake and is looking to partner with academics to realise the research for these projects. It is expected that these projects will then be delivered across a series of BFI platforms.

At the meeting there will also be presentations on the diversity and richness of the BFI’s Collections, and the opportunity to hear about the BFI’s new role as the strategic agency for film. They hope both presentations will inspire other avenues of research.  The detailed programme for the day will be published at the end of the month.

If you wish to attend it will be necessary to register by emailing Louise Watson.
