Assessment and Feedback Event
- The Queens Hotel City Square Leeds West Yorkshire, England, LS1 1PL
- 16 April 2008 10:30 - 17 April 2008 16:00
This two day event will provide an opportunity for participants to gain an up-to-date knowledge of the issues in assessment and feedback, learn more about the Burgess report and the implications for your institution and experience and receive a range of resources, including a DVD on 'Student Voices'.
The aim of this event is for participants to experience a range of activities and resources on assessment and feedback that could be used at institutional or programme/course level in the individual institutions.
They are offering two places to institutions with a maximum of 40 places. They suggest the following combination: a senior member of staff who might have responsibility at the institutional or faculty/school level for assessment, or a head of a course or programme plus a student or student union representative. They are very keen to involve students in this process as their experience has shown that, by exploring the perceptions of staff and students, much can be learned by both sides.
20 free places are reserved for students, who must be accompanied by a member of staff. The cost per member of staff is £160 (which includes overnight accommodation at the Queens Hotel on the 16 April) and the institution will need to pay the travel costs of the student.
Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
